SO, you’re engaged.  Now what?  Planning a wedding whether your own or for a friend is crazy stressful if you wait until the last minute.  The best advice is to begin as soon as the ring hits the finger to guarantee you have all the choices you want for every aspect. 

The sooner everything is in order, the more time you have to channel your energy solely on your excitement towards the big day, and fun things like getting your hair and nails done and the bachelorette party!  Consider this your bible all through the wedding planning process.

12 Months Before
Choose and book a venue.  Draft A Guest List.  Set Engagement party date.  Register for Engagement Party
10 Months Before
Choose an Officiant.  Select Bridal Party.  Take Engagement Photos.  Select vendors.
8 Months before
Find a Dress.  Cake Tasting and Ordering.  Start hair and makeup trials.  Block Hotel rooms for Guests.
6 Months
Send Save the Dates.  Purchase Wedding Bands.  Book honeymoon.  Order Bridesmaids dresses.
4 Months
Plan Rehearsal Dinner.  Select Groomsman Attire.  Decide on Hair and Makeup.  Confirm Vendors.
2 Months
Mail invitations.  Write or decide on vows.  Confirm Day of Transportation.  Purchase Day of Accessories.
6 Weeks
Apply for Marriage License.  Get Everything Printed.
1 Month
Bachelorette Party and Bridal Shower
2 Weeks
Final Dress Fitting.  Give shot List to Photographer.  Review Music with DJ
1 Week
Take Final Headcount.  Finalize seating chart.  Get facials and waxing
48 Hours Before
Get tan.  Have Nails Done.  Wrap Bridesmaids and Groom gifts
GET MARRIED.
